Stunning scenery: Taba Heights golf resort in Egypt

Visitors to the stunning Taba Heights resort in Egypt can now combine a luxurious stay at five-star Hyatt Regency Taba Heights with a round of golf at the new, dramatically located 18-hole championship course.

It has been carved from the the desert, cradled on one side by the Sinai Mountains and on the other by the Red Sea with its long, secluded beach and private bay.

Taba Heights Resort is represented on the European Tour by David Lynn, who has just completed three successive top 25 finishes on Tour and stands 65th on the order of merit.

His career highlights include victory in the 2004 KLM Dutch Open in 2004 and third place last year's Volvo China Open.

Taba Heights resort also includes Olympic-sized pool, seawater lagoon, jacuzzi, spa and a range of dining options, including authentic Lebanese cuisine at Tanour.

Seven nights half-board costs from £367 with Longwood Holidays and an extra £165 gets you three 18-hole rounds, two 9-hole rounds and 100 range balls per day on the range.

Parque de Floresta villa

Parque da Floresta Golf & Leisure resort has been named the 'Best 4-Star Development in Portugal' at the annual International Property Awards, in London.

Bordered in the western Algarve, by the Costa Vincentia Nature Reserve, the resort is centred around an 18-hole, par-71 course surrounded by a gradually expanding selection of villas, developed by the Vigia Group. It also includes various pools, tennis courts, bowling green and bars and restaurants.

Oceânico Group is launching its latest resort, the Royal Óbidos Spa and Golf development, near the medieval village of Óbidos on Portugal's 'Silver Coast.' 45 minutes north of Lisbon. It will include apartments, villas a condominium hotel and 18-hole golf course designed by Seve Ballesteros.
