Gripping the golf club correctly is one of the most important first steps you can take in our beautiful game.
There are three very different styles of golf grip out there, yet the procedure to hold the club for each of them remains the same.

The grip should sit across the palm of the left hand with the top of the club poking 1/2 inch out of the top of the hand, sitting nicely under the heel pad of the hand.
The grip should sit across the base of the fingers. When the hand closes the thumb pad should be situated snugly on top of the left thumb.
