The annual Regional Finals of the UK’s biggest amateur tournament, the Matchplay Championship, will be staged at the challenging Arden course at the Marriott Forest of Arden resort near Coventry, for the next three years.
Host venue for European Tour events in recent years, including the British Masters and English Open, the Warwickshire parkland course has built an impressive reputation with its demanding holes, where water often comes in to play.
The 40 successful qualifiers from the Men’s Pairs, Mixed Pairs and Singles will jet off to a final at the stunning Dubai Marriott Courtyard Hotel, where they will stay seven nights and play four rounds at the world-famous Els Club.
“This is an important development for the Matchplay Championship, which not only demonstrates the growing pedigree of the tournament but our ambition to provide the most complete golf experience for our competitors,” commented John Woosey, managing director of The JRW Group.
The North Regional will take place on the Arden Course on Tuesday April 3 2012 and the South Regional will be held on Thursday April 5.

GCN, I'm sure it was an oversight. Buy you forgot to mention that the Forest of Arden is also home for the Golfmagic sponsored North vs South Shamblers 2012 event.
