Glenmuir has unveiled two specialist golf trousers for men and women to ensure maximum protection from the cold this winter.
The company claims the stylish Hudson (for men) and Vivien (for women) trousers have been purposely designed in a comfortable stretch bonded fabric with snug fleece backing and a water resistant finish on the outer layer.
Glenmuir marketing director, Brian Mair, said: “With the Hudson and Vivien, golfers can be sure that the very best fabric technology is being used to beat the conditions and give them the optimum chance of keeping a good round going.”
Available at RRP £64 in both black and navy, with the Hudson in waist sizes of 30”-42” and two leg lengths of reg 31” and long 33”, and the Vivien in sizes 8-18 and two leg lengths of reg 29” and long 31”.

stylish? Stretchy polyester slacks are stylish now are they? I'm sure some of the older and more civilised members will like them but I'll be sticking with a cheap and lightweight pair of cotton trousers through the winter - currently I'm still in shorts. O_o

You can't beat corduroy in this weather. I have to get another pair sometime this week the green ones are looking a bit moth-eaten.
A few of the guys are already in their plus two's. Tartan looks a bit too 'gillie' for an Englishman. I prefer the tweed look, or even some moleskin breeks.

Heavy duty moleskin, even a hurricane won`t get through them.

Windproof DPM, if they can stand the weather of Norway and the Falkland Islands, nothing in the UK will touch them.(not even in scotland).

waterproofs over normal trousers will also add a little warmth too

£64 for a pair of trousers? Not this side of hell freezing over.

£64? I'm with Tim. I just bought 2 pairs of cosy lined trousers for winter golf for £25 in a newspaper offer. Stylish they aint, but who needs to do stylish on a golf course in the winter? In extremis I wear my skiing salopettes.

I've just ordered a pink hat. Who needs style? Most of my golf clothing came from Asda.
