Rife Iconic Z

Brand:
Rife
Putter: Iconic Z
Design: Blade
RRP: £141 Best price: £125
Loft: 2-degree Lie: 71-degree Head Weight: 350g

Summary: A plumbers neck, the Iconic Z compliments hard 90-degree edges with a paralleled topline. The tail of this blade offers a pure sightline for golfers that need to see the perpendicular ‘T’.

Appearance: Another classic blade appearance, this putter is gorgeous apart from the bronze finish which we don’t think works that well. The contrast between grooved face and shiny flat bottom is impressive and the bright blue grip is a comfortable and nice touch. 9

Feel: A slightly harder feel than the Nike Method Core, it was relatively easy to control the pace of the ball. We preferred the feel to the Mizuno but it wasn’t quite up to the standard of the Nike or Yes! Still, from 20-feet it was reliable and well weighted. 7.5

Performance: The ball came off the face nicely and rolled well. We were big fans of the RollGroove Technology that utilised slightly less loft than others. The small alignment line made it hard on short putts to send the ball in the right direction, however. 8

Verdict: This was our first time testing a Rife putter and we were pleasantly surprised – it’s no wonder more and more tour players are adopting their flatsticks. A solid, classic blade that we would be happy to put in the bag.  24.5
