Callaway’s HX Hot ball

Look out for a new hot ball from Callaway Golf arriving a golf shop near you, later this month. The three-piece HX Hot claims to deliver ‘blistering speed and surprisingly soft feel.’

The HX Hot also features the distinctive HEX aerodynamics offering the same ‘consistent ball flight’ of the successful HX Tour ball.

Callaway says its designers at its state-of-the art ball factory near San Diego, focused on ‘increasing ball speed at impact while adhering to USGA rules governing initial velocity.’

They claim to have produced a ball that ‘rockets off the clubface, achieves major hang time and has superior feel because of its super-soft layer between hot core and aerodynamic cover.’

Says Callaway’s chairman William Baker: "Differentiating our product in the cluttered distance ball category, called for great creativity and we are very pleased with the outcome."

The cover of the HX Hot has been improved, says Callaway, to increase lift and reduce drag and spin off the driver for a penetrating trajectory. Recommended price is £24.99 per dozen.
