Paul Casey showed a clean pair of heels to top golfers Chris Di Marco, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Stuart Appleby and Henrik Stenson recently, when he drove high-powered BMW cars around the Losail International Circuit at Doha, Qatar recently.

“I could do this all day,” beamed self-confessed petrol head Casey, after an impressive piece of drifting in a BMW 5 Series saloon. “I've also done this around Brands Hatch with Nigel Mansell and even driven a Formula BMW up the drive at Wentworth!”

Phil Mickelson won the AT & T Pebble Beach Pro-Am by five strokes, his first victory since a 72nd hole-collapse at the US Open eight months ago. But he rejected the opportunity to use the new Callaway FT-i square-headed driver he has been testing, preferring the Callaway Fusion FT-5 with the traditional pear-shaped head. He says he missed onmly one fairway in his final round and averaged 285 yards off the tee.

Mickelson has said he might use the club when he defends his US Masters at Augusta National in April - just around the time when golfers will be making a judgement on whether 'square' is a 90-day wonder as some critics have suggested.

Mickelson also used the 13-degree Callaway Tour X fairway wood, 2H FT-hybrid, X-Tour irons, HX Tour golf ball and Odyssey White Hot XG (No.9) putter.

Swede Peter Hedblom, who plays TaylorMade clubs, picked up his first European Tour win for eleven years with birdies on the 16th and 17th in the Maybank Malaysian Open in Kualar Lumpur. Despite three-putting the last for a bogey six, his 19-under total secured him a one stroke win over Jean-Francois Lucquin of France and No.147 on the world rankings.
