Cobra S2 (adjustable) driver.

Cobra Golf has announced that its new new Cobra S2 drivers and fairway metals    for men and women - including the Cobra S2 Offset models - are available to try at a Cobra stockist near you this month.

In October, 2009, I exclusively revealed to Golfmagic visitors - after a sneak preview of the club at Wentworth - that in my opinion it's the best-looking driver Cobra has ever produced and with its adjustable flight technology could be custom-fitted to most golfers.
Personally, I didn't appreciate the harder, titanium feel it generated compared with the softer Cobra ZL driver, but there was no doubting the higher launch, the accuracy and extra distance it delivered.

Says Tom Preece, Vice President of Research & Development for Cobra Golf: “We went to great lengths with the Cobra S2 drivers to ensure that they appeal to avid golfers of all abilities. The 9-point face technology is designed to allow more shots hit across the clubface to perform as if they were struck in the centre of the clubface.

"Adjustable flight technology enables golfers to quickly and easily optimise the ball flight they want via one of three face angle settings, which in turn helps them improve their accuracy and distance.”

The Cobra S2 Driver (£249) is available in lofts of 9.5, 10.5 and 11.5 degrees with the new Fujikura Fit-on Max graphite shaft and a Golf Pride grip.   It's also available in an S2 women’s model (loft 13 deg) with a Fujikura Fit-On shaft.

The Cobra S2 driver's Offset version has an anti-slice draw bias geared towards mid to high handicap golfers which means it does not feature head adjustability, is offered at £199 in lofts of 10.5 and 11.5 degrees, with a women's 15-degree model.

Look out, too for graphite-shafted Cobra S2 fairway metals (£159) made with 17-4 stainless steel and a contoured sole design to promote improved forgiveness and available in 3-, 5- and 7-woods in either straight neck or offset versions, for men and women.

Tell us what you think of the new Cobra S2 drivers and fairway metals - and indeed any clubs you are currently using by submitting a review into the Golfmagic system, for the chance to win great prizes every month.
