Glenmuir, official clothing supplier to the 2006 Ryder Cup, has reinvented its women’s collection of golf gear – thanks chiefly to the input of its golf-obsessed female staff, 40-per-cent of whom are keen golfers.

The company’s sales and marketing director, Andy Bough, says it gives Glenmuir an important edge when it comes to giving women golfers what they want as opposed to some of its rivals deciding what women need.

The collection includes three new colours- turquoise, raspberry, and alpine pink, combined with Supima cotton and Dry-Tech moisture-wicking shirt fabrics. Look out for the Ruthven, Blossom and Lyndhurst styles.

"Glenmuir has always done a fantastic amount of business with women golfers but in the past the range focused on classic styles for teams and club cresting. We now offer our consumers a new range of more fashionable performance-orientated styles that are more colour co-ordinated."

Glenmuir also provides clothing and outerwear apparel to German Tour pro Anja Monke.

The company has also released a new range of socks, including the cotton/nylon Parker, Denton and Morris for men and ankle-fit Hislop, Ardelle and camberley for women in turquoise, raspberry and lilac.

Glenmuir also offers Ryder Cup socks in 2-tone black/grey or navy/grey.
