TITLEIST staff player Bill Haas joined a distinguished group of players by winning the AT&T National on the PGA Tour last night.

Haas' three-shot victory at Congressional was his fourth straight season with at least one PGA Tour title, joining a short list with Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson and Justin Rose.

The 31-year-old American, who won the 2011 FedEx Cup, won for the fifth time in his career but this was the first one with Tiger Woods on the property - not to play, but to hand out the trophy.

Woods sat out this week with an elbow injury and won't play again until the Open Championship at Muirfield in two weeks' time but was mightily impressed with what he saw.

"He played beautifully today," said the 14-time major champion. "He handled his business through the tougher stretch of holes and pulled away."

Haas, who bumps up five places in the world rankings to 25th, is now eying the next step up in the professional game following victory on a course that has hosted five major championships.

"This year I think I put in a little bit more work than I have in the previous years - easy to say now that it's paying off," said Haas, who has never had a top-10 in a major before.

"All the best players, they're working hard, and the best players, there is a level. I'd love to be a part of that.

"But the way you guys and the golf world ranks us, it's by the majors. And I have not had that much success in the majors."

Haas trusted a full bag of Titleist equipment including 913D2, 913Fd, 913H, CB irons, Vokey Spin Milled and SM4 wedges, Pro V1x and Scotty Cameron putter.
