PowaKaddy has brought its world-famous Freeway franchise kicking and screaming into 2012 with a sporty, stylish and digital makeover for the new season.

Introducing its new Freeway Digital, PowaKaddy claims the trolley stands true to the heritage of the Freeway marquee delivering unerring reliability and robust performance.

The new Freeway Digital, says PowaKaddy, combines simple easy-to-use functionality, quality engineering and modern oversized styling to deliver a truly ‘best in class’ product and outstanding value.

Stand-out features include a soft-touch ambidextrous digital ‘T’ bar handle complete with built-in responsive nine-speed control roller, fully-integrated LED display screen, whisper quiet motor and brand new battery tray incorporating a built-in interchangeable battery connection.

The new Freeway Digital is available in a classic black or a more fashion-orientated white frame at £349.99 (18-hole lead acid battery), £379.99 (36-hole lead acid battery) and £529.99 (Lithium battery).

“We are extremely excited about introducing the Freeway Digital to market as we believe the combination of such a striking design at an affordable price point will ensure it becomes an instant success,” says PowaKaddy’s sales and marketing director Simon Homer.

Looks as if they've forgotten about those of us who like a brolley holder - as they did with their last major model change!!!

Also doesn't seem to be room for a DMD holder to be attached.

I get the impression that PK have lost their way - badly designed trolleys since the original Freeway and poor design and poor quality bags in recent times.

Dick seems to be a bit of a one.

I heard there is a full range of accessories, as a Powercaddy user for over 15 year the bags and trolleys have been nothing but excellent.

Any issues I or any of my other friends have ever had have been dealt with well.

Laugh at your peril Dick

Hey Powacaddy,

You go for it and thanks for the many years worth of support, good luck with your latest model, when can we see it in the shops?

I've had 2 powakaddys and my wife also has one.
I started with the Classic Legend and moved up to the Sport digital Freeway.
It's getting to be a bit of a Triggers broom now - wheels - batteries, switches top part of the handle shaft have all been replaced over the last 7 years or so.

Bags used to be excellent - the fabric ones.
Got one of the pvc ones a couple of years ago or maybe it was last year - what a badly designed bag - no slot for the ball retriever - and an Internal umbrella bay - what clever spark thought it would be a good idea to have all the water from a folded wet umbrella running inside the bag!

It had to be replaced after a few weeks as the carry handle on the front is so badly positioned it pulled all the stitching out and tore the pvc around it . I do notice the new ones have a firm handle attached to the top rim of the bag.

I'm also sure there were lots of teething problems - ie released before being fully tested -with the Freeway replacement - misting screens and speed problems when they came to market.
Perhaps too much reliance on Chinese manufacturers?

I'm not sure that any of the competitors of similar types are any better - but it seems Go Kart have an excellent reputation

The only "bit of a one" seems to be yourself, Mr_Thinly_Disguised_PK_Shill.

Powakaddy - especially with the Freeway II - had a shocking reputation as I'm sure you and everyone at PK HQ are only too aware.
