Robert Karlsson with the Harry Vardon trophy

Titleist has paid tribute to the consistency of their staff player Robert Karlsson in claiming the European Tour's Harry Vardon Trophy as the top-money-earner and order of merit winner.
Swedish Ryder Cup player Karlsson (39) recorded victories at both the Mercedez-Benz Championship and the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, in addition to having ten top 10 finishes during the season.
He trusted Titleist equipment from tee-to-green to help him secure top spot, including the Pro V1x ball, 905R driver, 909F3 fairway metals, ZM irons, Vokey Design approach wedge, Vokey Spin Milled sand and lob wedges and Scotty Cameron GSS putter.
“It is fantastic to see one of the game’s leading lights gain the recognition that his application merits,” said Ken Graham, Director UK Sales and European Marketing. “Robert has shown an amazing level of consistency throughout this year and it is truly fitting that he should finish the season at the top of the Order of Merit table. Everyone at Titleist is delighted by what he has achieved this season.”
Add Karlsson: “In the last three-and-a-half years I have taken myself to a new level. This is by far my greatest achievement in golf; it’s just incredible. The Order of Merit is based over the whole season and the last three events before the Volvo Masters – where I finished first, first and third – were so important. I went from fifth or sixth in the Order of Merit to top and managed to stay there.”
Players using the Titleist ball took the lion’s share of the top positions in the Order of Merit with the top three finishers, and six out of the top 10 players, trusting the The Pro V1. Former Order of Merit winners Padraig Harrington (Pro V1x) and Lee Westwood (Pro V1x) finished second and third respectively, with Titleist Ambassador Ross Fisher taking sixth place.
Another Titleist ambassador, Martin Kaymer along with Soren Kjeldsen were both top ten finishers, following their excellent performances at the Volvo Masters.
Kjeldsen (Pro V1) completed a wire-to-wire victory at the Volvo Masters, following a final round 71 that gave him a two-shot victory over Kaymer, who also used Titleist 909F2 3-wood, 585H utility metals and ZM irons and Anthony Wall (Pro V1x).
