Patton Kizzire ground out his first win on the PGA Tour thanks to an impressive putting performance in his final round at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba.

After play was suspended on Saturday, the 31-year-old American fired scores of 66 and 67 on Sunday to win by one over Rickie Fowler.

Kizzire had a number of tough putts on the back nine, but showed little signs of nerves as he rolled them in.

“He earned it out there,” Fowler said. “He played well all day today, 36 holes. Putted really well and made a lot of good putts for birdie and to save some pars, and I know he was thanking his putter there on the 18th green.”
