Rated the world's longest driver by one magazine when it first emerged in 2003, the Srixon XX10 driver has been updated with 'auto power impact' technology to challenge some of its modern rivals.
Its 440cc Light Titanium head 'with optimum face thickness' features a deep, low centre of gravity for a high launch angle, optimum spin and maximum distance, says Srixon. Its 46-inch MP 600 graphite shaft has also been specially designed with a more flexible tip to aid trajectory and there's a six-part bulge and roll design to generate a straighter flight and improve forgiveness.
Priced at £500 (599 euro), Srixon XX10 drivers will be available from March 1 at selected Srixon outlets in right-hand models only, with lofts of 9.5 degree (stiff shaft), 10.5 and 11.5 (regular). Srixon XX10 drivers for women will have 12.5 loft in L flex.
Srixon is also introducing right-handed XX10 fairway metals (£350), with four-part face bulge and roll design to enhance accuracy and distance. They're available in regular flex only, in 3-wood (15 deg) and 5-wood (18) models. Women's versions are 16 and 20 degrees in L Flex.
A new range of right-handed, regular-flex Srixon XX10 utility clubs are being introduced with 17, 19, and 21-degree lofts costing £210. Women's versions are 22, 25 and 28 degrees in L Flex.
Completing the line-up are Srixon XX10 irons developed with lighter, titanium heads and newly developed 'power dumbbell weight' in the hollow sole to optimise ball speed and make them more forgiving of miss hits on the toe or heel, says Srixon. All irons feature flexible tip MP 600 shafts to make the clubs easier to hit. A new, comprehensive range of lightweight Lady XX10 irons have also been developed to generate maximum distance.
A set of eight regular-shaft Srixon XX10 Mens irons (RH only) will cost £1100 ( 5-9 irons PW, AW & SW). Six XX10 Lady Irons (7-9 irons, PW, AW & SW ) with L Flex shafts will cost £825.
