Oscar Jacobson launch 2018 SS collection

Oscar Jacobson has launched its Spring/Summer 2018 apparel range.

The new Spring/Summer 2018 collection from Oscar Jacobson – presented in Sky/Coral, Naturals and Electric colour themes - draws heavily on the brand’s expertise in fashion tailoring, and its unparalleled knowledge of technical golf apparel.

A new ‘Course’ logo has been added to the collection for Spring Summer to add a more sophisticated look.

The ‘Course’ logo offers subtle Oscar Jacobson branding across the left shoulder area and is available on a number of key pieces for SS18.

Pima Polos New for SS18 Oscar Jacobson has introduced the cutting-edge yarn ‘Ice Cotton’ into their polo shirt collection. ‘Ice Cotton’ is an innovative yarn that, through advanced spinning technology, makes a ‘cool to touch’ and very breathable fabric; perfect for those warm days on the golf course.

It is made using 100% liquid cotton, distinguished by its long staple, making luxurious, strong and durable fabrics, with no synthetic fibers.

Darcy and Decker both benefit from this advanced yarn, plus an improved silhouette and a simple yet classic look that will ensure they become your new go-to garments for club cresting and embroidery.

Premium pullovers

The new Waldorf mélange sweater will sit elegantly over the top of these new polo shirts. Woven in Italy from luxurious Egyptian cotton, Waldorf boasts a half-zip design with full fashion details at the collar and sleeve insert.

Calling on the finest hand-selected Giza 86 long-staple Egyptian cotton, the yarn in the Waldorf sweater is spun by Filmar in its plant in Northern Italy and benefits from a mélange dye program, where individual yarns are dyed and combined to create colour, rather than actually dying the garment.

Extended Merino collection

Pullovers and sweaters for Spring/Summer 2018 again come in a wide variety of styles, with an extended colour range in the Cashwool 100% Extrafine merino wool classic V-neck Wyatt and quarter-zip Heron.

The new Lleyton, a quarter-zip sleeveless vest, joins Wyatt and Heron to complete the Cashwool line- up.

100% Extrafine Cashwool from Zegna Baruffa is a stylish, unique and high-performing yarn crafted by Baruffa at its Borgosesia plant in the Piedmont region of northern Italy. This soft, luxurious wool was born out of intensive research in the late 1970s to find a yarn combining aesthetic beauty with top-quality performance.

Insulation innovation

A key garment for Spring/Summer 2018 is the new Carson Hybrid Jacket, which blends an ultralight Primaloft padded body and jersey-knit sleeves with a brushed backside. This lightweight jacket combines an eye-catching patterned front with plain sleeves, and is designed for versatility and comfort.

It offers the best of both worlds – core insulation and greater freedom of movement as you swing - and can be worn underneath waterproof outer layers like the three-layer, four-way stretch Lawrie Pro when the elements aren’t playing ball, or on its own when conditions dictate.

Primaloft is a lightweight fabric that OJ Sport has used for a number of years now as it provides golfers with the Holy Grail of performance by retaining warmth without adding bulk. This superior insulating material is warm, dry and soft, with Primaloft’s densely packed fine fibres helping to lock in heat and keep out those chill winds, while remaining breathable and quick-drying.
