Ping's biggest yet

"It's straighter, longer and more forgiving, too"

Ping Si3 driver.

Ping is claiming it has produced it’s longest and straightest ever driver. The Si3 is already in the hands of Lee Westwood, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Mark Calcavecchia and Maria Hjorth.

The new club with its full face forged titanium technology is Ping’s largest at 340cc. Says company chairman John A Solheim: "We’ve moved up the bar a few notches and advanced it to another engineering level.

"The forged face of very thin titanium wraps around and connects with the body of the Si3, creating a more efficient energy transfer to the ball for greater distance, accuracy and forgiveness on tee shots for all golfers."

The Si3 shafts weigh 60-65 grams and, says Ping, are designed as a family with a defined margin of torque and flex between models. Ping says that this permits a more accurate fit of the Si3 driver for all golfers.

The driver features 10 colour code options so golfers can be fitted within 20 minutes for the correct lie and face angle to get the most out of their games with lofts from six to 11 degrees.

It will be available in right and left-handed models for delivery in the Spring with a price tag around £350.
