SkyCaddie SGX - priced at £349.95

SkyGolf, pioneers of GPS-driven rangefinders, is launching SkyCaddie SGX, the next generation of distance measuring devices for golfers.

This hand-held unit, says SkyGolf, is sleek in design with a large, 3-inch LCD screen that provides easily readable colour images, even in the brightest sunlight.  It's powered by a durable, re-chargeable Lithium-Ion battery for up to 14 hours of continuous play and uses a dual navigation, one-handed operation making it easy to use, even when wearing a golf glove.

Using SkyCaddie’s ultra-fast satellite acquisition, the makers claim it's unmatched for accuracy and reliability, giving trusted readings, thanks to a high performance GPS antenna that locks quickly onto more satellites despite possible blockage by trees and terrain.

The SGX also offers up to 30,000 pre-loaded, course maps for 'ready to play' use, straight out of the box and can store 50 courses at a time. And using HoleVue Zoom technology, the golfer gets an up-close view of the target area to strategise every shot, while rotating IntelliGreen identifies the exact shape of the putting surface as the players approaches it.

Digital scorecard and stat tracking complement its capabilities to also record greens in regulation, fairways hit, driving accuracy and distance as well as total putts, which can be linked to its Club SG Beta online community at www.skygolf.com.

“Our mission is to help golfers play smarter, better, faster and have more fun," says SkyGolf's Richard Edmondson.  "We believe that if golfers experience more rewards from the game, they will play more rounds, take more lessons, get properly fitted for equipment and share their passion with other golfers to help to grow the game.

“The SkyCaddie SGX is not only the most advanced, reliable distance measuring device in golf, it is a platform that can extend the game beyond the 18th green."

SkyCaddie SGX will be available throughout the UK in April 2010 with a suggested retail price £349.95.  For further information visit www.skycaddie.co.uk .
