Here at last... the Cobra White S3 driver will soon be available in the hands of club golfers throughout UK and Europe.
It follows the success of the Limited Edition Cobra White ZL driver, which Ian Poulter used late last year. It caused such a stir, it sold out even before it was released.
Cobra Golf is hoping the White S3 driver will generate an equally strong following and has restricted numbers available worldwide from early May. It is more widely available in a S3 black model.
As well as its distinctive colour the White S3 features E9 face as an all-white Aldila RIP Beta shaft suitable for the accomplished player looking to stand out from the crowd, the driver also features adjustable flight technology (AFT) enabling the golfer to amend three face-angle settings (open, neutral and closed).
Cobra says it offers 'outstanding forgiveness and distance as well as accuracy' with its E9 face technology expanding the Cobra’s sweet zone by 30 percent to reduce miss-hits.
“We looked at tens of thousands of hits across the driver clubface and saw a distinct ball impact pattern from the low heel to high toe,” says Tom Preece, vice president of Research and Development for Cobra. “E9 Face Technology maximizes distance and accuracy from any point on the clubface, especially where golfers hit most often.”
Brian Zender, senior vice president of Cobra Golf adds: "We’re excited to be the only brand to offer both a white and black driver models to golfers this season – complete with our latest 2011 technologies.”
The Cobra White S3 driver (recommended price £299) will be available in lofts of 9.5 (stiff flex only) and 10.5 degrees (regular) in men’s right-handed only. The special release also includes a unique white headcover, plus a white AFT torque wrench in a white pouch.
