Yellow balls on Tour?

What's your experience of coloured golf balls - yellow ones in particular? Personally I've never taken to them. Always found them made of a harder, more durable material that maybe goes further but is more difficult to control. Also as a straighter hitter, I haven't found it necessary to look too far wide of my original target!. But basically i'm a ball snob and prefer the feel and looks of a white ball -unless I'm on a seaside course where seagulls and their feathers are regular visitors. ED

It might say Srixon Z-Star on the ball but in your mind it's screaming "DONNAY PRO SPORT TWOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!".

My winter league partner often plays with a yellow ball.  To be honest I find them far more difficult to spot than a white ball.

I like the look of yellow balls and have played one of the predecessors of the Z Star family (Z URS).

Once released I think I will have a dozen of these. Creo always complained he couldn't get a premium yellow ball so I think they might sell at least 2 dozen.

I guess I am one of the odd one's out, I like yellow balls and would probably play with one all of the time if they came in a better quality ball.

We seem to have struck a seam. Personally I find the opposite of richard's experience - yellow balls are much easier to see in most conditions.

If all balls came in both white and yellow, I'd probably play yellow - if I hadn't got about 8 dozen white balls (approx. 3-4 years' supply) already .

I think Paula Creamer uses a pink golf ball in the last round of her tournaments.

I use the Titleist PTS Roll in yellow as my winter ball - but I do that because it is easier o see when the leaves are on the ground. I wouldn't mind playing one in summer but the premum balls are not available - or the choice is limited.

Only play with a yellow ball when frosty or in snow (yes we did play in a dusting of snow January 4th 2010). Could have done with the broom handlers from the curling teams to clear our putting line!

 I generally find the quality of the yellow ball available is average & a very limited choice.

Mind you I am not looking for ProV1 distance, feel and spin when it's zero degrees on the golf course in January..

I have always complained that since the end of the Balata wound balls no major manufacturer has offered their premium balls in optic colours such as yellow. Except those offered by you know who at 22 hours and 58 minutes.

Perhaps the ball refinishers could start offereing the premium balls in these colours.

I have used a certain ball provided by a certain person. It is very luminous and it certainly didn't feel harder then the white version he sent me at the same time. In fact, I liked it so much I just bought some from him.

 I have been using yellow balls all winter and I have to say I do enjoying knowing exactly which ball is mine instead of that horrible walk  towards the green thinking, I hope that one 3 feet from the pin is mine.

I quite often play a practice 9 holes using two balls - one white, one yellow. Yellow ALWAYS wins... Weird.

Nope Tim Clark was using a yellow Srixon Z-Star when he beat Martin Kaymer.

Of course Tim used the ball of his own volition due to the lack of sun, poor visibility and snow on the course in Arizona.

It had absolutely *nothing* to do with the $$$$$$$$$$'s Srixon will have given him to use one...

Mind you they'd have to pay me the same cos I f'kin hate them and *always* associate yellow balls with sh!te quality and the duffers who use them.
