I swapped my Scotty for a Nike Method 1 for one game a couple of weeks ago. My mate went on holiday and he loaned me it to try whilst he was away.
TBH it seemed a half decent putter but I just couldn't get the feel for the ball from it. My previous Scotty (Laguna) had the same neck line so I was pretty familiar with the sight and position of the ball, but the weight of the strike wasn't something I could get right.
I did hole a few straight putts with it from about 3-4 feet but anything with a lot of break was nowhere near the cup.
My prototype has something that the Nike did not have, it's hard to explain, but I never felt confident standing over the ball, it was more of a hit it and hope with the Nike whereas with my Scotty I knew it would be in or very near the hole.
I also have a MD Golf Seve putter that I use in the crappy weather at the end of the year and that is, I'm afraid to say in the lower regions of the putter league, in fact I would put it in the non-league section, its that bad
For me, its going to be a Scotty all day, maybe its a bit of psychology I couldn't say but in all honesty I couldn't play with anything else every week.
