We're looking for TEN volunteers including, ideally, a professional, two category 1 players (0-5 handicap), two category 2 players (6-12), two category 3 (13-18), two juniors and at least one woman - each of whom is prepared to submit their scores and details for 15 rounds. Those selected and who complete the course will also win a dozen golf balls and the chance to claim of free consultancy session, identical to the performance analysis provided to more than 30 Tour pros. For a chance to win a FREE membership package (normal price £30 inc VAT) all you have to do is tell us your handicap/status and why the www.strokeaverage.com site can make a difference to your game (in not more than 25 words). Closing date September 30.

I regularly lose shots but struggle afterwards to remember where I went wrong, so struggle to pinpoint weaknesses. The discipline of strokesaver would undoubtedly help.

(handicap is 16 so cat 3)

Strokeaverage is exactly what I need.    I have little idea about my strengths and weaknesses and how to improve. I'm keen to drop my handicap.

(Junior male - hcp approx 38. Play 9 holes every couple of weeks)

N.B - Does it matter if the scorecards I submit are mostly 9 holes?

To answer the question(s) above regarding 9 hole scorecards, the StrokeAverage.com site is designed for completed 18 hole rounds (at present).

As an alternative you could simply enter a complete round in two halves of nine when you play, even if they are played on separate days.

Strokeaverage will hopefully show up what parts of my game are weak and which are strong and enable me to be constructive with my practice regime.

Male currently 5.8 but with 3 weeks holiday coming up in September hope to get down

to category 1. Ah if only I had strokeaverage to help me now !!!

H/C 18 - Play fortnightly.

According to my playing partners, who know every thing about my golf swing and game plan.

This system should help with my club selection.

No mention of Cat 4 players being eligable to participate in this? High handicappers are almost always ridiculed, ignored or abused in some form. It happens sometimes through a forum, though never thought it would happen on here from a mod.

Hi Marty,

We didn't set the Rules for this. The Strokeaverage guys told us whom they were looking for. However, I'm sure if you submit your details, they will be considered sympathetically. ED

Bob,

Nothing personal and I know you of all people wouldn't do anything on purpose to annoy or single out anyone or any group in particular. Just making a point backed up by the fact that you were told what they were looking for.
