Im sure they are great value for money as long as you live near a Decathlon store.

My kids just introduced me to ebay what an exciting and cheap way to buy new golf balls.  I dare say the bug will disappear soon but bought Srixon ZURS managed to get 2 doz for £30.  Now they are a very good ball too, but admitedlly if you buy them from a shop you have to pay £26 a doz.

I will try the Inesis if and when I can get hold of them, but seems half the country are nowhere near a store.

True ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Shame

I agree - some Srixon balls are excellent I haven't played the ZURS but that sounds like a cracking price - did it include postage?

I think the whole thing here is not whether the ball is better than xyz - but is it better value than xyz. If I could get new ProV1's  for 15 quid a doz. would I play 'em?

...course I would

I'm down in Manchester next week so I am determined to pop in to their Stockport store this time and get some.  One of the very few disadvantages of living in Scotland is that there are no Decathlon stores up here.

Just picked up a couple of boxes.

If anybody is interested they still have half a dozen boxes in the Stockport shop.

Your right Taz, You get what you pay for, the definition of Quality is value for money, so a 28 handicapper may think Pinnacles are superb value for what they want.

I agree the biggest number of most serious golfers are probably mid handicap so are looking to pay £15- 20 a doz for a ball that  will give them good feel and distance.  I still think  the Srixon AD333 are good value but if you can get the ZURS off ebay for £15 for 2 doz plus £6 p&p thats excellent value.

Wish I could get one of your super Inessis balls to compare, but dont live anywhere near a store

haha I thought I'd try these out so went down to the decathlon at lakeside last night and bought a couple of dozen, was surprised to see 'As featured on www.golfmagic.com' displayed underneath them!

I'll be trying these out on sat, see how we get on with them. I've been a convert to the srixon z-urs recently so it'll be interesting to see how these fair.

Porky

As a Srixon user Ill be very interested to hear your comparison.  How much did you pay for you Inesis balls.

Cheers and merry xmas hope you get a round in  soon once this frost goes.

they were £14.95/doz.  i'm off down to devon this week to play a few courses down there (saunton, rnd, high bullen and ilfracombe) so i'll let u know how it goes. have a good xmas!

Porky,

What did you think of the TD v Srixon? I'm a Srixon user at the moment and am contemplating either 1. getting some more AD333 or Soft Feels, 2. getting Grade A Pro V's off eBay, or 3. having a pop with these TD's (if the feedback is good!)

Cheers H

Hburnett,

There's 11 pages of positive feedback here, to be honest. Including from Srixon users.

I find these far outstrip the Srixon soft feels and are at worse comparable to refinished Pro V1's (admittedly, not all of those may be Pro V1's of course!).

£15 for a dozen of these is an absolute steal... I'm not buying refurbs any more.

Bratty, I know... I didn't realise that the thread was so exhaustive when I was writing my query.... For some reason I didn't catch the amount of pages written prior!!

I'm off to Decathlon (Canada Wharf) next week to get some.....

 Cheers H

H,

Just don't nick them all... I'll be headed to that store next month!!!

Enjoy them!

Popped into Decathlon today to pick up a couple of Inesis TD Tour gloves

There were two dozen TD Tour balls on the shelf - I just had to buy another box even though I have 5 dozen in the garage and I'm not losing many - and they last.

I just can't get enough of these balls

Taz

I think you have a problem if you've got 5dz in the garage and keep buying them... Are you sure you're not female!?! Compulsive buying disorder????

Its not 11 pages of ALL positive, I am decidely luke warm, its just an ok ball, but I must be honest and say I preffered it to the the brick they call the ZURS. You could cut diamons with those.  Imo Pearl Pro V1s are a vastly superior ball for the money, compared to either, but we all have our own preferences.

Taz, how many balls do you lose for petes sake?! You seem to be buying a dozen a week.  You may be  better using Pinnacle Grade B lake balls at this rate, they may even float and you can go and get 'em.  Or maybe you need one of those GPS balls?

I have mates W-B who don't live near a Decathlon store.  Mind you I still want the 15 quid a doz for 'em

... and I have actually lost very few. I still have them in play over the winter as they cope well with crap conditions.

It's all in the mind I know but I won two comps last year using this ball and I intend to continue using it till it goes out of production. For me it ticks all the boxes.

Have to agree with Wormburner here. This Inesis ball isn't anything special, it's an average ball at an average price.

Hate to think of all the global warming and carbon footprints being created with all that fuel being burnt going to and from decathlon stores.

I find the wilson px3 a great 3 piece ball with plenty of spin if required and at £11 a dozen now it is a very good price and you can get it delivered and not have to worry about travelling hundreds of miles to buy your golf balls.

Another good ball I found with a urethane cover for all those urethane seekers was the bigyard ur. A good ball and once again no having to jump in the car and travel a huge distance, although the ball itself does travel very well and is responsive.

Plenty of decent balls out there without such a large carbon footprint.

Do  any pro's use these?

The only player I've seen advertising Inesis is Thomas Levet who plays a Titleist Pro V1x

PO, Would be grateful to know where you can get the PX3's for £11.
Show/hide user stats

PO, while I think it's important to think about carbon footprint, I notice your home course is 11-50 miles away... hope it's 11 rather than 50!

Harry Putter, I'd use Pro V1's if titleist paid me to use them!

I appreciate golf balls are a very personal thing. I'm not keen on the Solo, and yet a great many people love them.

All - I heard a rumour that Inesis and Decthlon are thinking of making Taz a shareholder!
