B330 is indeed considered a premium ball and if you can get them for £19.99 then thats a great buy, I am sure everyone would appreciate if you can give us direction where these can be bought for £19.99 as the normal price is 29.99 and best I have seen the S at is £24.99 plus 5.00 shipping.

Why do people like paying inflated prices?

All of the following have been deals on balls this year that have been available at several different retailers this year at various times so they haven't been difficult to pick up and some are still on going.

Some people really have no idea on prices do they.

Nike One Black £20

Taylormade TP red £21.75

Taylormade TP black £21.75

Bridgestone B330 £19.99

Bridgestone B330-S £19.99

Titleist Pro V1 £24.99

Titleist Pro V1x £24.99

Callaway HX Tour £21.75

Callaway HX Tour 56 £21.75

I am sure there are occasional bargains to be had especially on old models but I cant easily find anything on the TP Red or Pro V1 as brand new balls at your costs and even then you can you need to include shipping costs otherwise it's meaningless.

The point is if you want a good 3 piece ball but do not feel the cost of the premium brands even at £25 is justified for you, then the TD Tour is a very good performing ball and very good value for money.

IF you are happy with 2 piece ball performance then the are plenty of cheaper options

If you like over paying fine your choice and playing with an average ball.

The ball cover ain't even urethane either as claimed.

Talk about getting mugged off.

Shouldnt you and your friends be at nursery by now

It's bad though that they tell you porkies and you believe them.

False advertising.

Hate to think of the petrol bills and the time wasted going to and fro decathlon for an average ball.

What a joke.

It's not worth rising to the bait.

It is a good ball and at the previous price of £15, it's well worth a pop. It goes well, stops well & doesn't break the bank. And that's all that I'm looking for in a ball

But there is much better value around.

The price hike and false claims just take the P!ss really.

As I said many months ago when I first found these puppies, they are a very good ball, and an even better bargain, pound per pound (or is that Euro per Euro). I tried them out when playing alone in the summer, hitting two balls side by side on a good course: The TD Tour and the ProV1x. (That's the only way I can confidently evaluate/compare a ball - same conditions, same shot, same game).

When I want to treat myself or play in a big comp., I still play the ProV1x, but it's way too expensive for me in general play. To try and give some perspective, I'd rate the balls as follows for overall performance:

Noodle: 14/20

NXT Tour: 16 or 17/20

TD Tour: 18.5/20

ProV1x: 20/20

I also find the TD Tour very hard-wearing.

What is the point comparing a 3 piece ball with a 2 piece ball?

They are obviously going to play differently. To put things into perspective I have a 3 ball test with those 2 balls listed so you can get a reflection.

Noodle (2 piece) : 10/20

NXT Tour (2 piece) :  13/20

TD Tour : 14/20

Callaway HX Tour 56 :  17/20

Taylormade TP Red/Black  : 17/20

Nike One  : 18/20

Titleist Pro v1/Pro v1x  : 19/20

Bridgestone B330/B330-S  :  20/20

My sister bought a couple of boxes from Decathlon Merry Hill on Saturday - I'll get them this week so looking forward to giving them a go at the weekend.

Oh go on tell us where we can get them

There is a big stock at Lakeside. Only hope they are as good as people think as I persuaded my Dad to by 2 dozen today and of course I had to nick 3 to try

Got my sister to bring 4 dozen down from the Solihull store... Used one ona  quick 9 on Sunday and was very pleased with the softness and spin on greens (short 9 hole muni). Got 18 tomorrow afternoon so will get a true feel for them and see how they fly off the big stick!

Got chance to try the 3 I borrowed off Dad last night. Only played 7 holes but as I was about the only one on the 9 hole loop I was playing I was able to hit the same shots with both the Inesis and NXT Tour I normally use.

The Inesis certainly compare very well against the NXT Tour. I got similar distance but the Inesis seemed to better hold the line in the wind a little better and spin a little bit better on both full shots and chips. Them were very similar to putt with, the only down side I found with the Inesis was they sounded harder/more clunky off the putter although they felt no harder. Excluding putts I hit approx 30 shot including a few out of a bunker and it shows next to no signs of wear.

They might not quite be up to Pro V1 standard but they are cheaper and overall a bit better than the NXT Tour.
