Greengrass, I can't see your swing videos, but if you're having the problem of taking it inside too early it's down to rolling your arms and hinging your wrists rather than cocking them.

I've had this problem for an age too, but I've finally solved it completely and it's easy. As you start your BS push down with your left hand on the grip. I think of it a little like the action you'd need to get a childs swing moving. You don't push straight back, you push down and out to establish the arc.

Another way to feel it is to feel like the grip goes down and the clubhead comes up. It wont do this cos it's not a manipulation, but it will totally ensure to clubhead stays outside the hands and your top of the BS position will be perfect.

 Hope that helps,

 Dean

Hi Greengrass.  I cant see your vids either.

For anyone who wants to know how to load video's basically set yourself up with an account on www.youtube.com (its free) and upload your video to there.  When its loaded copy the link to it.  To post it on the forum you should notice just above where you are typing (next to the smilies) is a button with the image of a tree.   Click on this and paste the URL of your youtube vid into the URL space.  Underneath this select a type of 'youtube video' and it should form a link to the video automatically.  It should appear and be playable when you submit your post.

Thats how it works for me anyway!

My stance looks very wide on the first vid, trust me its not as wide as it looks or by the time i reach the driver I'd be needing surgery.

If you pause the first vid at the top of my back swing you can see how my club has crossed the line, the club head looks OK to me not too closed or open, I think my timing was off a little on this swing not one of my better ones though the shot went off on line and with a slight right to left as planned. Usually my impact position is good cant see on the first vid but you can on the walking swing vid if you pause at the right moment.

My swing hasn't changed in 23 years ive just got stronger and lost some flexibility and never really achieved any talent

Hi Greengrass,
Good fluid willowy swing but what I notice straight away is the difference between your practice swings and your hit the ball swing. You get in good position at the top but when you hit the ball you hit from the top with your right shoulder clearly coming over the top. The practices swing you come down nicely on the inside. Don't know how you manage to hit a draw with that shoulder action - your hands must work overtime.
If this makes sense to you, you could try starting the downswing by dropping your arms down on the inside as your hips turn whilst your left shoulder and upper body holds firm towards the target momentarily ,rather than spinning to the left as you cast from coming over the top.
but what do I know - other than you may start hitting a big hook - so you will need to quiten your hands down too

stance to wide and grip to strong. you look like you hoook the ball?

I have a thread for my swing follow the link, yes correct, my grip is strong on left hand, wide stance is an illusion from the angle and phone filming it, Yes the swing with the ball does come over the top spot on but did draw the shot, not the best swing Ive ever done like I said above

My biggest bad is a straight pull left or big blocking slice right all caused by coming to far inside during take away a bit like in that swing ( though pro doesnt think I have a problem as bring it back well and square the club at impact fine )

here is the link. MY SWING LINKY
