 Here is my swing with a short iron and driver from two angles. I have a problem with hitting left. I am a 15 handicap(14.5), my course has most problems on left side. Any help with curing left shot or any other advise would be greatly appreciated <object classid="clsid 27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" height="350"><param name="height" value="350" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="undefined" height="350"></embed></object> <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ug67ut8nuvI"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ug67ut8nuvI" width="425" height="350"></embed> ',width:100,height:100" width="100" height="100" /> <object classid="clsid 27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" width="425" height="350"><param name="width" value="425" /><param name="height" value="350" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> ',width:100,height:100" width="100" height="100" /> <object classid="clsid 27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" width="425" height="350"><param name="width" value="425" /><param name="height" value="350" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> ',width:100,height:100" width="100" height="100" />

 Solid golf swing, mate.

Ok, do you hook or pull or pull hook?
Thanks, shame about my computer skills lol
 pull
and what sort of swing are you trying to have? Are you following any particular swing model?
just trying to hit it straight or right to left

The reason I ask is becasue you have almost no spine tilt. This is fine if you want a rotary body driven swing, but even then you need some tilt with the driver. On the face on videos you can see you move your head forward towards the target on the way down and come out of your spine angle too soon. Down the line you can see the very common over active hands lading to a flat 9 o clock position. I also think you could do with standing up a little taller with less knee flex and moving your weight to the balls of your feet. That driver looks too long for you too meaning your hands are too far away from your body. This coupled with the flat 9 o clock position may be leading you to get a bit stuck. If you concentrate on taking the club back keeping the clubhead outside your hands it'll help. That and keeping your head still and adding a bit of axis tilt should help you get behind the ball better and stay there.

thanks for the reply, i have been playing about three years, re the spine tilt i look quite bent over - do i need to bend over more. re flat position could i alter my grip as i have tried to stop my hands being over active but bad habits seem to stay. head movement has always been a problem and unless my timing is good i struggle - any tips. my driver was custom fitted so i can only think i have shrunk since being fitted lol

Spine tilt isn't the bend towards the ball - that's spine angle. Look at the face on swing and see that your spint is in a straight line up. You need there to be some lean with the spine towards your right foot. Not a lot, but enough that you can make a better turn. Like this...

There seems to be too much head movement on the backswing (swaying) but I'm no expert tutor, other than that you've got a good swing for someone only been playing for three years.

Re head movement: I think some spinal tilt will help you set up with it more behind the ball and keep it there. It helps to practice with the sun behind you so you can make some swings watching your shadow. If you swing between the insteps of your feet you should be able to keep it pretty steady.

i only thought you leaned to the right on a driver but your link proved otherwise and the prospect of not moving the head as much can only be good for me

Just don't overdo it, mate. You have quite a rotary swing so need less tilt than a two planer.

23rd man... So if I read you right we should be looking for a small spine tilt on irons as well as Driver ... ie when hitting down on the ball Interesting as I only thought it was important using a Driver or "sweeping" a fairway wood/hybrid.. I have had problems with over doing the tilt (pushing me out of balance) with the Driver. Things have improved since I think of raising the left hip as opposed to leaning over!!!
