If they are game improvement irons why not buy some cheap Mizuno's or benross etc now, and when your game has improved in a year or so maybe spend some decent money on a set of clubs that will last you a lifetime and not restrict you when you are better!

One little tip, don't go and play in your local society with them the day you pick them up, have a practice with them first!

Lol no comps at all till later in year for me I thinks

What about these Titlest 775cb's rather cheap like!

What about some Raptures there is a few cheap on ebay and can chnage lie angle easy enough?

Steer clear of ebay in my opinion. As said many times, you are far better off going for a proper fitting at your local golf pro and getting the clubs from there, they will more than likely match a price from a decent online shop (like Snainton or golf-direct - Snaintongolf are doing 4-SW Ping G10 for £440) and they will be fitted to your swing. Then you can have them adjusted by the people you bought them from as your swing changes/improves, it also means you are assured of getting legitimate clubs and if anything goes wrong then you have a place to go and stamp your feet.

Ok I will buy them from the shop but only if he matches prices cause they a little high like!

I play Cleveland CG4 and they are a good club with enough forgiveness without being bulky.

You'll probably get a second hand set for a decent price.

Look online for cleveland golds can't remember the full model name but you should get them fairly cheap £200-£300 range.

How about Mizzy MX25's or MX25's

Just bought a set. I chose the Mx19's first but was persueded to consider the 25's

instead. What a difference between the 2. Of course one is cast and the forged but i could feel the difference between the 2. The Mx25 is a sweet club and I'm a high H/capper.

Good Golfing to you all

Looks like you have too much money - always splashing out on new gear!

I would go and see what your pro-shop has second hand, I traded in my old 2004 BB's for some forged Titleist's 704CB and love them, plus you can have a decent wack with them, and even take them out for a round!

Cheers H

Get some G10'S & have them custom fitted
Show/hide user stats

Try the MX25's, they are really easy to use and feel great when hit properly.

Also Ping G10.

But make sure you get any set custom fitted

Yeah well im going this week some time to get fitted at the shop. Dont think they stock G10 so they out the window can always buy later.

hburnett - As for me having too much money maybe your correct, Im currently a placement student earning 15,000 and got nothing to pay but rent and car insurance. So normally have plenlty left over and also get student loans too free intrest rates etc.

Hi Mate

i was fitted for a set of G10's the other day and i managed to try 6 other models of game improvement irons.

i tried the G10, i10, Callaway X20 & X20 tour, Taylormade Burner XD, Titleist A1, Cleveland Gold & the pings were the most consistant of them all.

if it is distance you want then the Taylormades are incredible but it is like hitting a driver with every iron - it literally flies from the club face and the burners were 19yrds further than my original irons - 8 yrds further than teh G10's i eventually bought - but i did not feel i had any sort of control!!

the Titlesit were amazing clubs (too expensive for me though) and the callaway X20 were good too but the G10's felt much better on impact than the other.

But you can't go wrong with either the X20 or G10........

Kieron,

Mizunos are fantastic!

Get custom fit whichever clubs you get, and consider spending a little less of your spare cash on irons and have a couple of lessons. Seriously, it's money well spent, mate.
