A mate found his ball in a hedged area but it was just about playable back to the fairway. So with his PW he took a short swing at the ball. Unfortunately, there was a bit of light debris on ground and he managed to slide his club completely under the ball. popping it up in the air. As he brought his club back, it hit the floating ball and knocked it back deeper into the hedge. Certainly the funniest and most unusual shot I've ever seen.

Played with my uncle on Friday. A Par 3 150ish yards. I hit an 8 iron straight at the flag and stops about 15 ft away. He takes out his DRIVER, half swings and sends it about 1ft off the floor left and rolls along the fairway to about 6 inches from the hole ! Worst of all, I 3 putt for a bogey !

 I managed to hit a Tee from under a ball at a Shamblers friensly meet! the ball just plopped down on the tee box exactly where the Said tee had been! Witnessed By Monkeytaff and MacBludgeon to my horror! The pair of them Looked at each other then bust there arses laughing!

 I know its not funny / strange for its whackyness but I always remember the first time I used my 56' wedge. My mate bought it and hated it (its a Ping iTour) and said it was totally cr*p so I bought it off him for £40. I then proceeded to hole my first shot with it off the green for a birdie. He still asks me if I use it every time we meet up (secretly I think he wants it back)

 Normally I paly off the yellow tees but for some reason we decided to play off white. On the 16th tee feeling quite confident as the round was going quite well hit the ball with my driver. Off to the left of the tee box alongside the yellow tee is a ball washer on a metal post about 2 inches diameter. God it rattled as my ball hit it full on and came rebounding head high back past me and into the rough. haven't played off the whites since!!!!!!

A playing partner of mine hit a marker pole on our 14th at Pitreavie. Smacked a low one to the top of the hill 120-130yrds away, hit it square came back and went in the small burn just in front of the tee

 On the 7th hole at Knotty Hill, par3 over water, the yellow tees had been moved back to where the whites normally are but the large rectangular plastic rubbish bin had not been moved so it was around 20yrds in front and slightly to the left. Teed off, made a mess of the shot and heard a loud bang as the ball shot straight into the top rubbish slot in the bin.

A couple of years ago one of my golfing partners stood at the 10th at Matfen Hall. We were playing it as nearest the pin and this little par3 is right outside the clubhouse with a little stream running across around half way with stone banking to it. Len, hit an 8 iron and thinned it...the ball shot along the fairway down to the stream then hit the stone wall and came back at us. We ducked as it missed us by about 3ft and it landed 10ft behind us in the flower bad.......... of course, as it was the nearest the pin hole I looked at him and asked "do you want it measuring".

I didn't see this shot, but was told about it. On my mates stag do one of the guys hit his driver but totally got underneath the ball, sending it straight up into the air. It came down behind him and went straight into the bin next to the tee! BB

Heard this one of a friend of mine, who plays in many regional competitons.
Playing at some course in the Leeds area and was on the first tee with his 2 other competitors. The first guy goes to tee off, in front of about 30 people, who are various other competitors, organisors etc. Being nervous he drills his tee shot into the ladies tee marker. The ball then shoots back and hits the guy in the thigh at full speed. From there the ball goes another 20yds past the tee box. So not only was the guy 20yds further away than when he started, but he was on the floor in agony at being hit by the ball that had rebounded that. Don't think the penalty he incurred for touching the ball made him feel any better either! Might not be funny for the guy, but i think the majority of others there were sturggling to keep straight faces!
