Just wondering if anyone had used these and what their feedback is?

I have a Sonartec MD 21 degree.  I find it ok off the tee and fairway but hit and miss out of the rough.

It goes a lot further than i expected and also much lower.

Overall i like it and its worth a try, as bargains can be had on ebay!!

I have one of those too! My findings are as above, although I find it ok out of the rough if not played too far forward in the stance.

Thanks for the feedback - how does it compare against other rescue clubs that you've tried?

I have a cobra 19* rescue and it is very good from the rough but I tend to hit it high off the tee. I swing it more like an iron from the rough with a more downward strike and it works well.

The Ping G5 is FAR more forgiving!!

Not tried that one Ian a mate of mine has a titelist but witha regular shaft so I cant compare. I will keep my eye out for a G5 to try have they got a rescue in the G10 yet.

i'll try it further back in the stance then!!!

I have used a G5 and Cleveland Halo. Both superb. Had experimented with a Ram one which I couldnt hit for toffee. G5 is amazing. Mine is a 19*. And now the G10 range is out I reckon you can get some bargains on G5s!

I have a Sonartec 3 wood which is excellent - very penetrating low ball flight. However the face looks seriously curved at address so it does not inspire confidence - i dont know if the rescues are to.

I have a Sonartec 3 wood... which is also excellent. Very small head and great off the deck, such that I T it up at about 3/8 inch.... BUT I don't think it's probably a beginners club... One is hoping to grow into it...!!!

The cobra I have has a convex face which is unnerving at first. Are most rescue clubs the same.

Sonartec are the best fairway/rescue clubs out there, which is why so many pro's use them without being paid to use them.

I use 3 of them depending on the course and conds and love them all. Superb piercing lower spin ball flight. I have tried many others but nothing compares IMO. There are others which are more forgiving but £4£ nothing beats them and they are dirt cheap off Ebay now.

I bought a macgregor mactec and it is awesome  and very cheap you should try one

I can recommend the Adams A3 Boxers, they work for me, but go try out a few different ones.

On the subject of Sonartec i've always fancied a strong 3 wood to replace my driver - are sonartec still around? Do they have a website?

I thought they had gone bust,or at least were in some kind of distress. I think there has been a falling out between the owners.

I'm using a Howson Gbh 21 degree, bought a few years ago when I first started out on a magazine recomendation (a bit daft perhaps).

I find that the shaft is a bit to long and flexable so i grip down a bit; I tried a G10 earlier this year and the difference between that and the budget Howson was night and day.

You get what you pay for I expect.

Confirm that Sonartec have gone bust... Hopefully someone will pick up the ip and start manufacturing again.... Personally I love my 3 wood and word is that lots of pros use them...

My Sonartec is now misbehaving and sitting on the naughty step!!

Available for swap or purchase (would like a rescue or halo 22* stiff)
