"I love playing in the rain because you say I have to use them words  to win a Glenmuir rain jacket , I need a  rain jacket as my Waterproofs aren't ".

'I love Playin' in the rain' as much as 'Singin' in the rain'. I am tone deaf and crap in which and whatever order you may please.

And useless at competitions to boot.

I love playing in the rain as if gives the added challenge of the only birdies being the ones divebombing down for the juicy worms!

I love playing in the rain......

Because my swing turns from hacker to hero in the blink of an eye, my partners recon the only rain that touches me is shank curing holy water!

I love playing in the rain because it means I must be on a golf magic day trip to somewhere!! (only time it ever rains)

Every time I go on a golf magic day trip out it lashes down and my current "waterproof" - about as waterproof as a holy sieve made by "cross" - makes my bloody livid!!! let alone cross, just doesn't cut the mustard.

A still damp Fen

I love playing in the rain:

Everybody stop adding to this thread, the golf gods are reading it and it hasn't stopped raining since Bob started it. Thanks Bob!

I love playing in the rain. . .

I also like being tied up and whipped by a big butch woman. . .

I love playing in the rain because... it reminds me of an acient Japanese Golf Haiku:

Rain is pouring down

Mizuno strikes ball in hole

Glenmuir keeps me dry

I don't mind the rain i have a pair of Glenmiur rain bloc trousers but never wear a jacket always a double skin jumper or a short sleeve top.

The best way i keep dry is a very large umbrella and a holder on my trolley, i have a cover for my bag as i hate getting it wet and the stuff in it.

So Bob if i win i would swop the jacket for a pair of trousers.

sent too many words before so i will try again

I LOVE PLAYING IN THE RAIN BECAUSE....

this is england, unpredictable, but with a glenmiur wet suit, it takes the insecurity out of your game knowing that you can at least keep dry, however you are playing.

I love playing in the rain because, kitted out appropriately, i revel in the challenge of playing against the elements. Shocks you out of your computer-based deskbound daily reverie and puts you back in touch with nature.

With all the fawning, I hope Glenmuir have invented a vomit-proof jacket that the judges can use when they read the entries.

Sorry!

Because the course is empty - leaving no-one to laugh at my topped drives, vicious slices and rubbish putting so I can just enjoy the golf.

I love playing in the rain because...

It sorts the men out from the boys and gives me an edge on my opponents that don't like playing in the rain.

And snow and ice and hail and wind and...........................sunshine!!!!!!!!!!

i just got back from playing torential rain. my water prooffs didnt keep me very dry and im bloody soaking. i had to take my water proof jacket off cause i cant swing with it on because its so rubbish.

so i like playing in the rain cause i was the only opne on the course, and the ball stopped on a dime.

i didnt like i was so wet i could have been a fish, my grips were so wet i couldnt do more than a 50% swing or the club would slip, my trolley broke on the 4th, you get totaly stupid bounces on teh wet fairway, if you hit it a little bit fat you dig to australia. and the greens were changing speed every bloody hole.

so im never playing in the rain again............unless i have some really nice water proofs like maybe glenmuir? hmmm

I like swinging in the rain because it means I do not have to get up early for a shower, I can multi task and golf shower at the same time!  Also I get the chance to use my really nice pink umbrella!  Mind you, if I had a nice set of waterproofs as well, I reckon my golf would improve!

I like Swinging in the rain as my wife won't play if she gets wet and that gives me 4 hours of peace - no more did you mean to hook it in the bunker there or unlucky when you miss from 2 feet. Paradise is a wet and windy scots day! ya beauty!
