'I love playing in the rain because...'
My CROSS waterproofs keep me nice and dry, i have a nice big COBRA brolly to keep the rest of me and my clubs dry i have three towels, and a rain hat to keep the rain off me specs. I don't have any Glenmuir stuff except jumpers so it would be a welcome addition to my golfing wardrobe.

I loe playing in the rain because - well to be honest I don't love it as the only waterproofs I could afford were the cheapo Dunlop ones which may as well be made from clingfilm! I tend to end up wetter as a result of wearing them than I would have been had I not worn them. I think that it's a great shame because nature is always so lovely when it's raining. Both animals and plants need the rain and you can sometimes almost see the beneficial effect that it's having on the surrounding countryside. I also quite like the rain because it makes the greens slightly more receptive when I launch a fortuitous shot at them from some random angle!

I love playing in the rain in competitions because a lot of people give up and I try and concentrate more, this in itself gives me a chance of winning. I do not like playing in the rain as per say and given the choice would not venture out in it. I would like the Glenmuir rain jacket though as I believe its not only in the rain that they of use.

people complain on other threads about people not being able to spell... Lo and behold, us golfmagicers can't count either!!!
I love playing in the rain because my grips get really wet and slippery, which means my driver sails further than the ball on most occasions.
can't edit my original post for some reason so. 'I love playing in the rain, because... I seem to concentrate more and i have an excuse for my absolutely appalling scoring.
I love playing in the rain because..there are less people on the course to see me play badly!
there is something really nice about playing in the rain though. The noise, the smell. For me, it helps to drown out all the other distractions and helps me really concentrate on my swing. I got my best score ever playing in torrential rain... go figure! I bet there's never a competition asking us to explain why we really like to play golf in a howling gale!

I love playing in the rain because...... it's better than playing in the snow, and a Glenmuir rain jacket, I'm sure will improve my performance in both.
I love playing in the rain ...... because its raining now and im going to get a see through shirt to scare the others away and keep the little kids off my balls.
"and keep the little kids off my balls."
;). The little thugs on the course picking them up. Dirty SLUGGER!
I love playing in the rain beacuse ... The greens may flood and the competion gets cancelled It means I can start from scratch again next week, forget about the 8 at the first and save another .1 on my handicap. Ally

OMG ITS WELL BAD NOW ITS COMING DOWN WITH A STORM BREWING GREAT STUFF!

I love playing in the rain because... ... the alternative is not playing at all. Ok, it won't win but at least I got in under 30 words eh?

I love playing in the rain, but not as much as I love playing when there is lightning all around and I have a three iron in my hands.

'I love playing in the rain because...' You get that freezing cold sensation as the rain trickles down the back of you neck due to your leaking waterproofs, your shoes leak, your reminded of this with every step, the club tries to slip out of your hands virtually clobbering your playing partner with a 6 iron, the ball always lands in a puddle or mud, meaning cleaning it every shot, you cant judge the pace of the greens well and usually land in a puddle by the side of the green AGAIN! Your trousers leak, they're covered in mud, the bunkers are full of water, the birds have buggered off home, the foxes have gone in, the rabbits laugh at you from their burrows, your partner gets struck by lightning but as he's beating you at the time thats justice, your cold, your cold and fed up, your cold, have I said cold enough? But hey I love playing in the rain! Ok its more than 30 words Bob but bugger playing in the wet, I love playing in the sun.

"I love to play golf in the rain because..." When i pick a club from my bag, the smile on my face says too me; This is our time, this is our shot Glenmuir, now fly true...

At this time of year, the course is quieter when it rains, however the top reason I like to play in the rain is because the greens hold better and the course usually needs the rain. There's nothing like firing an 8 iron at the pin and it sticking when it lands, which during dry summer it often doesn't.
