Just been wondering if anyone'd be up for a bit of a GM meet in Peterborough at some point in the future? I'd be more than happy to arrange it, but may need a little assistance when it comes to things like handicapping, etc! Just a quick toe in the water to see if anyone'd be interested! BB

I am not too far away from there so I would more than likely be up to kick your behind .
Dependant on date then I'm up for it. Peterborough Milton is a decent track as is Elton Furze.
Well BB I have to admit you getting a load of interst !
The handicapping bit is easy BB. Maximum handicap is 18 and play off 3/4's - and if anyone brings a "mate, who doesn't have a handicap but is about 24" then they both play off scratch!!
Depending on the date I'd be keen.
18? Bugger. I think everyone'd kick my ass at that! Oh well, at least I can get the wooden spoon engraved in advance! BB
Would have to be later on in the year I thinks, when im in sheffiled dont think I will be keen on driving down from Durham for a single round lol!
 I'll be interested.
Ok then, so I think the next step is to set a date of around when it'll be. How about early Octoberish? That'd give lots of time to get this sorted and hopefully mean that people are freer? (also I'm getting married in August, so that's pretty much out!)
Unlucky and good luck. As for date I will have just started Uni so times might be a bit strange till right near the time but I will be game if possible!
So long as it doesn't clash with the GM day on 13th October.... What's getting married got to do with it? I played golf on the morning of my wedding (and the day after it as well!!). Lay the law down early BB
getting married on the 4th, so October will be tough for me. (Sorry!)
Make it the 3rd BB I guess Jon G will be cool for then. Get him hammered and that can be his 2nd STAG!
Aha, hadn't remembered that there was a GM day already in place on the 13th of Oct already! Maybe we'd better make it later then? How does everyone feel about a wintery one?!? November/December time? Tim, don't worry I am playing golf the day before the Wedding! However I find that it makes life easier if you pretend to plan things (like playing on the morning of the wedding, which I did suggest to her - she went mental!) then you get away with what you wanted in the first place! (eg playing the day before!). As for the day after, you must have a forgiving wife Tim (or she stays at home and you pay the way! - I'm only joking, I'm only as chauvanistic (sp?!) as the next man!). My missus once told me that I put golf before everything else - all I could think was 'and?'! Thankfully I didn't say that though! BB

Ahh BB, you see I've got the best of all worlds. I got my wife into playing golf and now she's at least as competitive as I am. All our holidays are golf breaks (except our honeymoon), it's just a case of where and when. Book her a lesson at the range with a decent pro and wait til she hits one 100 yards more or less straight - she'll be hooked! Whatever you do don't try to teach her yourself - only misery that way lies!
Yeah well, well done for not saying that BB cause I did lol!
Tim you are certainly correct because you just get your head bit off LOL! (Bloody women) lol
Keiron, a lesson learned early is a lesson you won't forget!
BB If date is OK then I would be up for this.
