Only kidding. Anyway, anything that helps your golf is worthwhile in my book. I'm thinking about getting a F&S trolley following the reviews on here.

right I've set my 'striker' up . Tokk all of 10 minutes, the battery appears to be charged already and it really is very quiet and seems to zip along although the wife didnt like it zipping accross the lounge. Doesn't look like there will be any problems with stability, with the wheeels on it is at least as wide as my Wilson pull trolley but it still folds down to a similar size. Bit of a knack needed to lock it all in place but even with the wheels of it should be a 60 second job from the boot.
If anyone wants photos of it posting I'm more than happy to snap some of it and stick them on here

Finally an update on my post of 22 Dec. My mate received a new battery from Field and Scott and is now totally covinced that the trolley is the best single golf purchase he has made in recent years. He had nothing but praise for the service he received.

Looking around my local club it is quite surprising how many of these trolleys are actually out there quietly doing the business round after round. No frills no fuss just doing a good job.

Wonder what my daughter is going to get her dad for his birthday?

my new striker didnt get out this weekend as the club had banned electric trolleys due to the weather, however from the car park to the pro shop it performed very well ! Very happy with the purchase and at £85 for the auction its a inner !

These are getting cheaper by the minute two strikers gone today at £62 and £72 respectively.

You can buy these new hedgehog pimply tyres that clip on over the top and most clubs will allow these.

Bit late to this thread, but I bought one of these as a Christmas present (for me!). The pro's have a caddie for a reason you know. Very happy with it performance wise, and it's GREAT to get round 18 without sore neck/shoulders afterwards. Makes lifting the pint sooooo much easier ...

I have the wide wheelbase model. Does ayyone know if these fit in the carrybags from stackemhigh? Or an alternative carrybag which would fit it?

Bags are a tenner and extremely well made,you'll need the Fand s coz you'll have to keep taking the wheels orf wiv uver bags,uverwise.

i got a classic for christmas after reading this thread and it has been excellent i play on a hilly course and have never had any problems even after all the recent bad weather we have had.
and i feel a lot less tired after a round.
at our club we have quite a steep hill between the 10th green and the 11th tee and i found after dragging my old trolley up it i was out of breath an the tee, and if i had the hounor it was affecting my drive . now its not a problem the trolley actually pulls me up the hill.
most of my mates can't believe i only paid £125 for it(or at least my kids did)

Took the plunge, secured a striker last night for £72 absolute bargain can't wait for the weekend.

I've been following this thread on behalf of my dad of course and was wondering which bags you are using with this trolley,at the moment I have a stand bag which I would like to change when the trolley is purchased.
Is there any trolley bags to recommend or stay clear off??
I've between the pawacaddy deluxe £60,titleist reverse trolley bag £60 and ogio amp £60 from direct golf?

I was also wondering why the striker has a higher RRP than the other one from field and scott, is it better made or is just because it's short wheel base...

I'm using a Taylor Made Taylite 3 stand bag on my striker without any problems. The straps are excellent and long enough to go round any bag and the supports on the trolley have grooves in them which actually seem to grip the stands on the bag and stop it rotating - however, I'm not sure if thats what they are meant for.
Dont know why the striker is more, probably as ita 'new' design but they sell for less than the standard one at auction

Well, took delivery of my striker today.

Initial impression of packageing were superb, courier was efficient too.

Unpacked the striker and first thing that struck me was the weight of it; its not heavy as such, but certainly substancial, being the pain in the backside I am, i went over every inch of it with a fine tooth comb, not a flaw anywhere, the finish is A1.

Connected the battery up and tried it, the battery was actually charged, a nice touch, but I will be charging it properly befor I take it out. Turned the potentiometer all the way up, thinking it wouldn't be that fast, nearly creamed one of the cats against the couch!! It can move!

Initial impressions are in line with the recommendations and observations by existing striker owners, excellent. I paid £92 for mine, plus delivery, to be honest if the price was double that I wouldn't have felt any less pleased with either the build qaulity or the service.

The acid test will be the weekend when it hopefully gets its first outing, but what I can say is what from what I have seen so far , this thing will last ages.

Looking forward to trying it out at the weekend.

As for bags, I have the wilson python, quite a chunky bag, it sits on the trolley without any problems, in fact I reckon it could take a full staff bag.

I`ll let you know how it goes at the weekend.

Thanks to all who posted before with information on this trolley, I probably would never have bought one from ebay otherwise, instead opting more than likely to shop with a known brand and ending up costing myself far more, for essentially the same thing.

Oh, and I`m only 35, lazy as a scrapyard dog mind you, this will make a round so much easier, I don't give a rats chuff if I take pelters from my mates, I`m glad I bought it.

Well, did a round yesterday and today with the F&S trolley,it has to be said that this trolley is a heavy bugger, no iffs or buts, its damn solid and thats without the battery.

Only once did I need to give it a hand going up a hill, I can live with that, the rest of the time it was absolutely fine, although I would have liked to see a bit more grip on the tyres. I deliberately played a course today I loathed playing with a manual trolley, what a difference.

All in; for what I paid for it, I have no complaints.

Buy one, for the difference of about £50 for a half descent manual pull job, this is well worth the money.

I'm sure earlier in this thread, you'll find someone who swapped the supplied battery for one with a higher power rating. That should overcome the steep hills problem.
