Who makes a nice non pleated trouser suitable for the game of golf?

I really like the feel of the nike dri fit ones but a 34 (I'm a 32 waist) were a good 2 inches too small and the 36 whilst fitting on the waist was massive round the back and only came in a 34 inch leg.

I'm fed up with my current Gap Khaki's and need something nicer.

Have a look at Ralph Lauren website. Even with p&p from America the trousers are good value and come in loads of colours and styles. Put Ralph Lauren into Google and it will come up as Polo - click on it and enter the golf section.

Ant

Why not try a kilt ??

I'll be going back to the States in 2 weeks so will look for some Ralph ones there. Need a pair to play in before I go though, both my current ones look awful.

A kilt with my legs, oh no :)

Ant - have you heard of Bicester Village? I got some R L troosers for between £10 and £20 from the factory outlet store there.

I have bit of a trek for me. There is a guy at work who goes back up there at the weekends, I'll ask him to pop in when he gets a chance.

Perhaps I'll just get my tailor to make me a pair.

I've got a couple of pairs of Dockers - they're really nice.

Ant, think theres an RL at the ashford retail centre (McArthurglen outlet).
You could try there ?
Also one of the Donnay outlets there as well for some cheap tat as well !!

Had first lesson with MB last night, he's a top bloke.

have a look at onlinegolf.co.uk , I've just been buying them out of their Oakley trousers at £14.99 (50% off) a go and they look fantastic. The other Oakley stuff is nice as well

Oakley gear from online golf gets my vote too. Ordered two pairs- they came yesterday. Great quality and a nice fit. Bargin at £15. Particularly when it's "my" brand... can't get enough of the stuff.

Onlinegolf are pretty good for Oakley, got a few polos a couple of months ago, also a turtle neck and a jacket. All nicely reduced.

And yes..... I am a brand freak!

Chip,

They look a good buy! How much of a 'loose fit' are they? Do they look baggy?

R.

I would say they are a slightly baggy fit. Oakley are pretty generous with their sizing all round.

I can get away with a size smaller compared to say Adidas gear.

Asda, Tesco, Matalan, Primark, the list is huge, what's the problem?
Anything over £12 and you've been done.

George at ADSA. £12. Plain smart black trousers.

Asda = pleats otherwise I would.

Stanley I'll try to get down there but time is of the essence :) MB is great, lot of knowledge considering he's only twenty something.

Those oakley trousers are 65% polyester/35% cotton.

Personally I prefer 100% cotton.

Ant, the other place you could try is debenhams.
I got some of their maine brand golf trousers.
Showerproof, stain resistent etc, think they were about £30

Oakley & Online golf get my bet. Since I've discovered they stocked it I have got slowly poorer, but better dressed :-)
