I need a flight carry bag to put my clubs on a flight to South Afcica in a couple of weeks (very excited). In the past I have jsut put my clubs on without a cover, and although I haven't had any problems, that's clearly not the best thing to do. Is there a good flight cover that anyone would recommend or are they all much of a muchness? Thanks.

Owt with decent padding at the top! I have a "Hippo" one that cost under £30 and its good! I alway wrap my clubs in groups of 3 in bag towels or similar as well!

At 17 (or so) Rand to the ££ you will feel very rich! If you play at Royal Cape, say hello to Andrew Rose in the Pro shop!

TODAY'S EQUIPMENT REVIEW

Travel Golf Bag From Cargo Golf

Cargo Golf has given the traveling golfer more -- with less.

The company's new hard-sided, dual-purpose travel bag weighs 8 pounds, is 6 inches in diameter and holds a complete set of clubs, including 48-inch oversized drivers.

All bags standard with dual-shoulder straps, patented Master Lock locking system & pocket space to carry two pairs of shoes, rain suit & more than dozen balls.

Once your plane arrives, just take off the protective top and hit the course -- with the same bag.

The Voyager DP (permanent pockets) and the Convertible DP (removable pockets) are available in classic black or British Houndstooth.

Adam, I went for a soft cheapo bag by slotline and then got an Izzo inflatable head protector as well. Seems to work fine.
