I KEEP LOOKING FOR A WATERPROOF PULLOVER TOP. I'VE GOT A GREAT WATERPROOF SUIT (PING), BUT JUST WANT SOMETHING I CAN SLIP OVER WHEN IT'S NOT RAINING TOO HARD. WHY ARE NEARLY ALL THE ONES THAT MATCH MY REQUIREMENTS --- BLACK --- AND EXPENSIVE??? LOOKED AT THE SIRRIS, BUT, ONCE AGAIN ---BLACK ---

I recently bought the Mizuno Tour rain suit, largely on the recommendation of Today's Golfer. First time out was in the driving rain for 16 of 18 holes, and my playing partner who had an ageing Pro-Quip Neptune suit was rather soggy by teh end.

I was dry and warm, and the added bonus is that it doesn't sound like you're wrapped in bacofoil when you swing!

Only slight issue is with the neck of the jacket. If you don't have it zipped up to the top it can flap against your neck, but only in very high wind, and I guess that you would probably be wearing a polo then anyway.

Guys

Be warned stay away from the Typhoon jackets/trousers in this range. There is a stretch fabric across the shoulders making the jacket comfortable and easy to swing in however it leaks like a sieve. Complained to local Nev Bobs down here and finally got a refund, apparently the distributors USP Brands have gone bust, so i don't think its an isolated incident. By coincidence their ex agent happened to be at the shop at the time and was quite scathing about the Brand..may of course be sour grapes

I'm with Alastair I've got the Miz tour suit and it is excellent, especially for the money. I was shocked by the prices some wanted for a rain suit... over £300 !!! Could buy some new irons for that money ;-)
