Hi i am returnbing ti playing golf againa and need some clubs. i am not a beginner (though not played for 5 years)and want some clubs that will grow with me to improve with the more i play - an improver if you will! Now i have no clubs anymore, and am unsure of what to get - i like the look of RAM Concept X & Wilson X31 packages, but am unsure if they are gonna last long enough for me to 'grow'. I also seen the RAM FX4 & Wizard II along with Wilson Deep Red II Distance Irons around £200. Whats the best way forward and do you have any recommendations. I have a Wilson thing as i play Wilson Tennis Racquests and had some Sam Sneads as a kid. In short i'm after an improver package that will last and am unsure whether to get a set or irons then add to it to end up with a good set along the road. i am looking at £200 initially at least.

Simon, if you want improver irons how about the Mizuno MX17. they are easy to hit, very forgiving and going for £247 new at the moment.

The Wilson Fatshafts can be had very cheap - seen them for £100ish new on ebay. The steel shafts can be a bit on the heavy side, so maybe go for graphite?
Otherwise the Deep Red II's are a good choice

If you dont mind buying second hand - you msay want to consider a set of Callaway X12s or Cleveland TA7s on EBAY. You can buy them well within budget, they will grow with your game and you should get most of your money back if/when you sell them.

Otherwise the Deep reds are pretty decent irons.
