Hi - i have been looking for 'improver' irons or set and have been looking around and found the Macgreggor M455 & Mizuno MX17s around for about the same price. By the sounds of it the Macgregor's may be more beneficial for long term ownershipdue to being forged and therefore hjaving feel as well as the forgivness i will need. Does anyuone have any thoughts on this? Cheers!
that sounds like my kind of club! i have a lesson booked with a pro on Saturday and have mentioned that i have no clubs so hopefully he will recommend some to suit me. I will mention some that i've 'seen on the web'and see what he says !!
m455 were good for me but the ball flight was a little flat. got ping g2s and its better. it felt much nicer when you hit the ball well with the macgregors though
Just tried some M455s and was hitting them left. They felt quite nice but not as nice as the RAC OSII or the Cobra 3100. For me, the RAC and 3100 were straighter and longer.
Mizuno for me, I started with Comp CT's and moved on to MX20's, now am looking at getting fitted for my next set by Mizuno, so they can decide which is the next best Iron for me. This way its bound to be Mizuno.
This is only my personal choice, I do not expect every one to choose Mizuno as what works for me does not always work for you.
