Field and Scotts are superb.
The battery chargers need replacing with something more but the biggest issue is how people charge them from new.
Don't full charge from new and leave it on.
These are gel batterys, give a small charge from new, then swith off, another small charge from new and repeat and bring the battery up to power slowly, then you'll have a good un which will withstand any toasting and 36 holes, all come now with a 20 amp battery as standard.

For the Field & Scott trolleys to be selling at £80 which will also include shipping and crate from China plus profit for the sellers, you have to realise that there are going to be cutbacks made somewhere.

In my opinion the weakest part of the trolley is its battery and charger which doesn't amount to much. If anyone of you who owns one, get yourself a decent charger and battery. You can use any Hill Billy style batteries, which will fit nicely. With the new charger and battery you can leave it on charge without going through all the hassle of what GIL has described to charge his.

You missed the point ,Kid.
On any gel battery, charge it easy on first usage and build it up for greater performance.

Marqie :- In search box above, put in GoKart for titles and you will get reviews. In fact Creosote has recently done a good one.

Had a Field and Scott trolley and after 18 months it is now on the scrap heap and thats the best place for it.
The connecting rod between the wheels snapped just over a year old so no comeback on the guarantee, had it repaired with a new rod and that snapped after 4 months.
This is a fundamental design problem caused by the very long wheel base of the trolley and the rod is not strong enough to carry the weight.
Competitive price yes but not as I now have to buy a new trolley
