I have just bought a set of irons off e-bay. These irons are Ping Zing 2 fitted with steel shafts. The problem is that when I strike the ball the vibration causes sever pain in some of my fingers.I am delighted with the high flight that I am getting and also the are going straight (at the moment) my prevous irons gave a low flight and very rarely straight. Now the question is could any of you gentlemen sugest a set of grips that would act as some kind of damper to the pain that i am suffering. Thanks. Roy

What shafts are in them?

Different grips are unlikely to have any discernable effect unless the grips currently on the Ping's are old and hardened.
What is proven to work is the TrueTemper Sensicore shafts. Most TT shaft types are available with the Sensicore inserts as an option. The TT webiste will give more info, but basically it is a polmyer insert inside the shaft that absorbs the vibration.
I have used them and found them to be excellent.

Yoss 76. I have made a mistake, my pings are eye 2 not zing. The shafts are steel and have the letters K T on them. The shafts in my old irons were FGS 2000 They didn't hurt my fingers. Roy

KT is a Ping factory shaft. Eye 2 have been around for many years and it is likely that the shafts in yours are showing their age! I'm no expert but would suggest changing the shafts would help.
