I liked your penultimate post very much-such a lot of good sense!
Knowing that one of my greatest literary heroes was Dr Samuel Johnson you can readily see how and why I post as I do-straight from the hip without a thought as to what I am posting!
I have always enjoyed his quote about Americans "Sir, they are a race of convicts and should be grateful for anything they get short of hanging" Not ALL Americans, of course, just the majority of them!
