Shaun...can highly recommend Cobra, but i would go for the 430 instead of the 370, bigger sweet spot etc..
very forgiving...but still goes miles...my handicap has come down from 18 to 16 in two months since i got mine....
Paid £249 for mine , but have seen them advertised for less.....

Dunno abou the Mizuno E Type, for better players I think, but Don't forget the Mizuno Blue Fire 350 @ less than £200.

I have the 310cc Miz. Blue Fire and that is a bargain now, at less than £100 in some outlets --- but apparently the 350cc model is reeeeeeeally forgiving.

A pile of 500 series drivers @ £200 on ebay this week.

While I am at it, I am deciding which TM driver to keep, the 580 or or XR03. Will sell the other!!

You can have the XR (with Penley Tour shaft) for £180 if anyone's interested or £210 for the 580. (bargain!)

Ian

How have you found ebay when buying clubs? Are the descriptions accurate for when parting with this kind of money it's v much like trading in the unknown.

I've bought a few things, including clubs and a bag, on e-bayand haven't been dissapointed. All the reputable sellers will have good feed-back and you can check out peoples comments that way.

There are some bargains to be had but for the big name equipment you can sometimes find you can do as well locally.

Yer pays yer money..........

It's true what they say these days if you can play half a lick - you can buy a better game unfortunately. I've bought a few 2nd hand drivers, 3 woods, etc. lately trying to save $$$ only to realize when I would borrow someone's "latest technology" that I could fly it past these 2nd hand clubs I was using. Golf shouldn't be like this. You shouldn't have to shell out $500 for a club. The organizing bodies of golf need to reel in all this madness!

Alan yu av got me drooling about these blu flameing Mizuno's yer always barking about

So when I get back on desk etc reely must ry one what shaft do yu use or appropriate & my current driver a F/Biggest Big Blerta 11 deg reg (tipped a tad stif)

Shaun

Although theres heaps magic new & springy face things out there, if yu want reliable & on every F/way Callaways the 'Great Big Blerta's'(Bertha) Ti are a very forgiving no frill long shafted driver & still very sought after but try a firm reg shaft may be bit soft fer young bloke

Thanks again i have been to my local retailer in bath and asked them what he would recommend and he suggested the cobra £219 or the taylormade r580 burner at £187 with a dozen maxfli balls.Has the burner been replaced by a new model as it looked like there were trying to get rid of them.He also said he would put me on the swing machine and fit a shaft for no extra.

I dont think the Burner 860 has been replaced as such....it's only been out a few months - about the same time as the 580's etc....I think it was just a cheaper model with similar technology....
