Where can I get some made to measure

I must have some really wierd shaped feet as I have literally tried on dozens on shoes over the last two weeks and cannot get anything to fit.

I have wide feet which are also quite chunky and square, (like the rest of me),and it seems the norm is for long thin feet.

I have been playing all summer in Adidas Clima-Cool shoes which are a long way from being waterproof and I need some new winter/wet weater shoes desparately.

Anybody know if there is somewhere that makes golf shoes to measure?

Just don't look at the prices.

Eugene,

I dunno about made to measure but I have a similar problem to yourself.

Due to being born with slightly deformed feet I have short, extremely wide feet with a very high instep. Getting any kind of shoe to fit is a real problem for me.

However... I bought a set of Footjoy Aqualites in their extra wide fitting last year and have had no problems whatsoever with them.

If you need a wide fitting shoe, I can definitely recommend these. Just make sure you order the extra wide and not the standard fit.

I am surprised that Gil or Bigger Al hasn't spotted this!

Nebuloni do custom made shoes. This site is run by Bigger Al from the forums. Gil swears by them, and I've got to say they do look th ebiz...

Been fortunate enough to win comp for foot-joy 'my-joys' on this website. At Achushnet St. Ives, Cambridge factory, they have a 3-D scanning machine that measures each foot allowing the individual size to be ascertained.

Found out that left foot is size 9.5 (medium width) whilst right is 8 wide) which made a great difference when swinging club due to snug fit when demo-ing at factory.

Should receive them soon as takes 4-5weeks for delivery. Belive appointments are made via club pros.

Best of luck.

Wow DC, 2 grand for a pair of shoes, one zero too my for my budget.

And I have been to Acushnet and was told I was an 8 1/2, although all my shoes for the past 20 years have been either a 9 1/2 or 10. the muppet there still made me try on half a dozen 8 1/2's though. So wasn't impressed there.

They didn't carry the extra wide fittings and suggested I buy them direct from the states. Hmmmm.

I have seen in a Footjoy catalogue that they do some styles in the extra wide fitting, only in black though, and I can't find anywhere that stocks them so I can try them first. Guess I'll have to give it a go anyway as it has to be cheaper than the custom made ones.

Have you looked at BIte shoes i think they are wide looking - maybe not your style though.

And what style exactly would they be Damon

Just seen their website, any idea who stocks them, there was no details on their website.

Bite shoes are on the golfonline site but that's not much use if you want to try them - though presumably you can send them back if the aren't right. I've got a feeling I've seen them advertised in some of the mags too.

Nebulonis are a classic italian shoe's,made for those who want something different with ultimate stle.
Gigi doesn't make shoes for the winter wear as this would compromise all he works for,a bit like Hugo Boss making wellie's.

And if I order a pair of extra wide Nebulonis and they don't fit, full money back guarantee?

Golf shoes you cant wear on wet ground? Thats handy, especially in the UK.

They can't not fit,Eugene.
Take out a pair of inners from your best fitting shoes{no matter what state there in),Have you any arch problems,so on and so,you could even with the inners one shoe on the cap be a wee big bigger and Gigi will make you a pair that fit like slippers and yes if you weren't satisfied you'd get a refund once you are Nebuloni'd your in for life, shoes need re heeling or poss re stitching 5 years down the line,no problem just send them back.
At Captains Invitation day tomorrow at Broadstone.I know I will be one of the few, good feeling. At a club like that which oozes A1 it's nice to be at the front of something.
Creo, they won't garuantee against monsoons as the leather is very fine, you need mass produced welded shoes that cost £15 to make in Tai Wan and they charge £190 for.

DuncAl, I did but with the increase in people seeking free advertising on this site via the forum thought it best not to respond. To clear up a couple of matters however..

2 Grand for a pair of shoes, I don't think so Eugene. The base model is £215 but as published on earlier threads we do have some in stock which we are trying to clear. If you are lucky we will still have a pair in your size.

I know Gil wears his in all weathers and has stood in a stream at one of the GM events. They come with a leather or rubber sole so if there is a lot of moisture on your course choose the rubber sole.

At the end of the day though they are a summer shoe and not guaranteed waterproof. Very comfortable, coming in a number of styles, leathers and colours (over 40,000 combinations). And you get what you pay for.

The 2 grand shoes were John Lobb handmade shoes which DC provided a link for, see second message on thread, not Nebuloni.

Wrt Nebuloni, where can I try before I buy, as I do have odd shaped feet that do not fit into most shoes supposedly my size.

Blimey.. missed those.
