I'm looking for a very waterproof jacket that still allows good movement. What's the best out there.

Anything by Galvin Green seems the general concensus. Expensive though.

Any jacket you like and then wash it with Nikwax !!

Maybe I should just buy some Nikwax and apply it to my current jcket. Cheers.

The Galvin Green sounds like Kalvin Klein, with a price to match!

You did ask what the best out there was Evan - now you don't want to pay for it!

Galvin Green are the best - Get some money spent!!

I couldn't bring myself to spend that much so I bought one of the ProQuip neptune suits from County Colf (£49.99), although I've not played in bad rain to test it yet.

Bought a PING jacket and trousers from JJB (old stock) a few years ago good quality and I use the jacket for day to day use as well.

Keeps out the rain fine, windproof, check end of year sales or you could just not play in the rain.

What size are you Evan.
I've got a Sunderland Classic Goretex just about to go on ebay size large. Seller told me it was a size XL but would not refund looking just to get my money back £32.

The new Mizuno rain jackets are very good. I particulaly like the fact that the sleeves can be removed and its breathable too!

I've also got a Proquip neptune suit- £80. Brill. Had it a year now and it's great in the rain- keeps you bone dry but cool, keeps you warm in the wind and is comfy to swing in.

I use the same jacket as when I'm out on my bike - an Altura Nevis. It's light, packs small, allows movement and is absolutley 100% waterproof. Wiggle have got it for £39.99 - http://www.wiggle.co.uk/Default.aspx?Main=AreaFrontPage.aspx&cat=cycle&w=0. Also, it's a lot cheaper than the ridiculously over-riced Galvin Green gear.

Over-riced??!?! Sorry about that but I'm sure you all know i meant over-priced.
