has anyone played with one?
i am seriously looking at getting one to replace my Callaway C4 driver?

I currently play of 8 but the C4 has a stock Callaway shaft in it which is as with all callaway shafts id whippy even for a stiff!

Stuart,
If you like the look of the C4 why not have it re-shafted. That why you get the shaft to suit your game and a better driver for a cheaper cost

I am a feel player and that is certainly not what you get with the C4!

A mate of mine uses one to good effect but they sound awful - like a woodpecker being hit with a cricket bat.

The TM is a better driver

I've been using a 510tp for about 2 years now and have found it to be excellent. Sounds great when you catch it right and interestingly enough Darren Clarke still uses one instead of the new R7TP!

Alan - perhaps your friend's driver is broken..they sound fantastic !!

Stuart

It's an awesome driver full stop. Way better than the Callaway - especially with the Fujikura Speeder 757 shaft fitted. You can pick them up for c.£120 on ebay and they are worth all of that. I got mine re-gripped and re-shafted in the TM tour van recently and I'm even more in love with it. Have sidelined my R7 TP because I prefer the R510TP so much !!

You will find that a lot of TM (and non TM too !!) tour players still prefer the R510TP to the newer R7TP.

It doesn't have the same level of adjustability and technology but (I think) it's all the better for that.

i was going to buy one about a year ago, i tried one out and hit it awesome but they were too expensive for me because i was 15, so i bought a titleist 975l fe 9.5 stiff for £90. still got it and hitting it sweet

Also worth looking out for in a similar vein is the XR03 especially when paired with a grafalloy prolite

Its not one of the best drivers ever made, it is THE best driver ever made. FACT.

Ok Sergio..you have me convinced too !!

Far superior to the XR03, even with a decent shaft, JimP...
