I'm trying to get my wife back into playing the glorious game. She hasn't played for about 6 years but recently came along to a driving range with me. "Let me have a shot" she asked, before hitting 20 eight irons on top of each other at 120 yards (frustrating from my point of view, as I'm sure you can imagine). She has a very neat swing but doesn't get much distance.

I'm thinking about buying her a set of clubs to encourage her into playing. She picked up a set of Hippo UC500s at our local American Golf Discount and really liked them. They seem good value at £199 for the ladies set with graphite shafts.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of these clubs or wants to offer advice on any alternatives (up to £200).

Bought a set for my good lady{which started me on a Hippo fix}ans immediately she was thirty yards longer and I'm not joking.
Won a society day three ladies and thirty men and came in with 43 points which she had never done before.
I guess they're o kay then.

If you want some really good value, although i'm not sure what they're like direct golf had some Ram FX2 irons for £69.99 and are advertising some Ram Acubar irons for £69.99 although i'm not 100% if they are available in ladies.
