Hi all, newbie here - just started playing - i found this site as I was looking for info on Voit clubs, i'd seen some utility irons / woods on ebay - set of 3 - 21, 24 & 27, brand new - £30 the lot!! Anyway I couldn't find anyone else that had used them on any forums anywhere which didn't exactly fill me with confidence but I bought them anyway. This is going to sound a bit like a marketing speil but I promise it isn't!! Just thought I would put down my experience incase anyone else is looking for info on Voit. You guys probably know this more than me but from what I can gather Voit originally are one of the oldest manufacturers of clubs, reading between the lines I think someone has bought the brand name and is knocking them out cheaply. Anyway, i have no experience of hybrid irons / woods so i can't really compare them to anything but my irons. I got them through the post today and was straight down the range and I really got on well with them - off the mat they were flying straight and very long - the 27 5 was going 180ish and the 24 & 21 were going over the 200yd fence! For me that is amazing!! I've got a Ping i3 Driver which someone gave me but I struggle with it's small size and 9 deg loft so for now I am more than happy to use the voits off the tee as well. I was thinking of getting a big new driver and while I am happy to spend decent money once I am playing under 100 I am thinking in the meantime that the Voit driver may be worth a punt at £40.00 what do you all think?
