I've just been reading on this site about the Titleist Pencil Bag (£34.99). It's a fine bag and I bought one this summer.

American Golf Discount have this exact bag for £9.99 except that it does not say Titleist on the side (some other name/logo that I'd never heard of). I know all about paying a premium for brand name clubs but hadn't realised that it effected everything quite so dramatically.

So surely there must be available cheaper consumables such as Pro V1's that do not say Titleist on the side and that leather glove I use but without the Nike swoosh.

It's made by Zucci . I saw the bag , but it hasnt got a hood .
I have a 9" bag made by Zucci too and 2 guys at my driving range have the same bearing the the of `Tileist . They paid 4 time the price i did for it .

I've often been accused of being a bit of an old cynic.
The last time I discovered something that was a no-brand identical clone I was told that the 'branded'item would have had £X,000,000 spent on research and development and the clone would be just a copy, with none of the technology.

You buys yer bag - yer takes yer choice.

Truth is, there are two humungous Chinese factories making every bit of golf equipment - some of it gets a brand name some of it doesn't but it's all the same 'cheap as chips' 10 bob a time production line.
