Is the FT-i durable?

I tried out the FT-i yesterday at the range. The Pro Shop had, obviously, taped up the bottom of the club. When I went to return the club I noticed there was a wear mark on the rear of the sole. On the silvery part that looks an alloy. My worry is that the red finish and the alloy part will become worn and tatty looking in a short time. I do know that you are not supposed to contact the ground with a driver, but with a swing like mine it is inevitable. This might sound petty but I like to keep my clubs as pristine as possible and I would be choked if after spending that amount of money it wasn't durable. As an example if I catch a stone or similar with the sole of my fairway wood I will polish the mark out with abrasives and then re-polish with Solvol to put the finish back. God, I really should get out more! Anyway that's my personal fetish so any feedback would be gratefully received. By the way the club is awesome, it really does do what they say it does.

Been using the FT-i for 4 months now, and no problems with any wear marks. Slight scuffs on bottom from tees etc can be easily removed.

I have the XXV anniversary edition. Love the distance but I could do with ear defenders for the noise!!! This is definitely the best driver I have ever hit I went for a 9.5 / stiff / neutral. It is a missile launcher - pity I still drop so many shots round the greens though!!!

A mate has got one of the early FTi drivers, had it nearly 18mths and it still looks pristine and we have been getting out usually once if not twice a week for most of that period, though he does have a very steady swing.

Had mine for nearly 20 months and still in great shape. Was a big fan of TM gear but slowly switching to Callaway because all the TM gear I have bought in the last 18 months (R7 Irons sold on flea-bay, R7 3 Wood, Stand Bag that lasted 3 months) have all been of very average quality.

I am also am fed up to the back teeth of TM bringing out new gear every other week, just after you have bought the latest shiny bit of kit they bring a new shinier piece of kit with bells on the following week. They are flogging to death MVT when in my opinion if does not make a difference to the majority of golfers. While I am on a rant why no Square Driver from TM, Square drivers have been proven to hit the ball straighter (All be it at the sacrifice to a bit of distance) but all TM do is bring more drivers with even more MVT ports. How many R7 owners have actually changed the weights around in their clubs, less than 30% I am willing to bet?
