anybody got these fitted?
especially anyone with mizuno mp style heads. i would love some feedback on these. many thanks.

I have Rifle Flighted 5.5's in my recently acquired R7TP irons. This shaft was the recommendation after a session with the guys at Precision Golf and thus far I am very happy with them.

They feel very stable and well suited to the R7's as my previous MX23's with TT S300's never did-the heads didn't feel "connected" and they flew far too high. Well worth trying out and see if they suit your game after you have been fitted properly.

By the way Royal Precision are now owned by True Temper as well...

Rifle shafts and rifle flighted are not the same thing. Rifle flighted have a variable kick point to suit the club being used.

Personally I do not like rifles because they produce too high a flight for me.

I've got the rifle flighted fitted on my MX900 after a fitting session at the national Mizuno centre. I would just go for one shaft, go to a custom fitting session and they will tell you what shaft is best for you. For me the rifle flighted were the right choice, I absolutely love them.

I have mp60s fitted with rifle flighted 6.0 shafts. Although they are supposed to be similar to the DG S300s, they feel "softer" or more flexible to me. I am pleased with them because I get a higher flight but my only recommendation would be to visit Mizuno for a fitting.

I just ordered a set of MP60s with 6.0 shafts. I read that they will have a higher flight because of the Rifle shafts. What is the effect on distance?

Are rifled shafts steel and would they suit an older person who uses graphite at the moment. But id love high ball flight especially with my irons

The Flighted nature of Rifle shafts refers to the characteristics they offer in a) the longer - 3/4/5 irons and b) the shorter irons - 6/7/8/9/PW.

Essentially the flighted aspect gives the longer irons a higher more consistent trajectory and the shorter have a penetrating, lower flight. I'd say that they would work very well with MP60's if your fitter recommends for you.

Certainly worth a trial.

As ever people are either in the True Temper or Rifle camps-but as TT own Royal Precision they win either way!!

I use s90 rifles on some woods and all tt dg300's in my irons, both feel the same to me but then again they are steel so they would :)

There is hardly a shaft I have not tried over the past three years except maybe Project X as these are aimed at the faster swinger.

If you are thinking of a swap from graphite to steel may I suggest trying lite steel shafts such True Temper Dynamic Gold Lite.
