Hi all,

Need a small lightweight stand bag to take half a set of clubs on holiday...

I want a stand bag, holding at least 6 clubs, but ideally a couple more, full length dividers a bonus and to pay as little as poss as I'll only use it 2-3 times per year...

Been looking at the Mizuno Weekender or the Longridge Travelite on the web but cannot see if it will fit enough clubs (the Longridge) or whether it has the full length dividers (both of them).

Any opinions on these, or any other suggestions ?

Just bought myself a Mizuno Aerolite II for the days when I just want to carry a half set - attractions were light weight, not too many pockets to fill up with crap, and a decent size top with several full length dividers. Can't be that much larger or heavier than the weekender.

Someone on here bought a VOIT bag, not sure if it was stand or trolley. But he said he was impressed

This place are doing the voit standbag for £30.00 - its a full size standbag so not sure if it may not be light enough for what you want.

I got VOIT hybrid irons for the same place and they are excellent. V Prompt delivery too.

Otherwise worth looking on ebay, i ended up with a Maxfli Standbag, good as new and only cost £6.50!

edit - quick check on ebay came up with this;

I have been using 2 x Mizuno weekenders for a couple of years (I can get both, with full sets of clubs into my golf travel bag for the wife and I play on holiday, they have 8" diameter tops). Great bags, but the legs begin to bow quite quickly. I recently invested in an OGIO Sticks which has a 7" head and is ten times better in terms of strap, pockets and overall use.

shop around...
